What is the best way to try AYON for free?
If you just want to look around and get the feel for AYON, you can use AYON playground server. We also provide a 14 day trial for all our subscription once you’d like to dig deeper and try AYON with your own data.
As an alternative, consider our self-hosted community version. This version is unlimited, allowing you to test for an extended period, or even use it in a production setting.
What is an "Active user"?
“Active Users” in AYON are those that are able to log in, interact with the UI, publish data or have api access. You can activate and deactivate users easily in AYON settings.
You can, however, create as many “Inactive Users” as you like. This allows you to build up a database of freelancers, pre-assign them to projects and plan out their work without needing a license for them.
Can I mix and match different plans?
No, each plan comes with its own server configuration and cannot be mixed at the moment. All users within a workspace must subscribe to the same plan. You can however mix multiple subscriptions with different lengths and billing periods. For example, you can have a core team on a yearly plan, while adding project team members on monthly subscriptions as you scale up.
What kind of support do you provide?
We take great pride in the support we offer. While the level of support varies based on the plan you choose, we also offer dedicated premium monthly support services on a retainer basis. This ensures you have expert assistance readily available for demanding productions, whether it’s to resolve issues or optimise your pipeline setup. How can I make use of the four hours of onboarding?
When opting for annual subscription of AYON Pro or Studio, four hours of onboarding support are included. These four hours of support are limited to annual subscriptions only, and are a one-off for the lifetime of your subscription. The allowance does not reset per year. More hours can be purchased if needed. Please contact the support team if more hours are needed.
How do I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
You can manage almost everything about your subscription in your organisation section on ynput.cloud portal. If there is anything you can’t achieve in the self service portal, let us know at support@ynput.io and our team will assist you.
Are there any setup or hidden fees?
Our Pro and Studio plans include limited hours of onboarding with AYON when you opt for annual billing to help you get started. Please note that this free pipeline onboarding support is subject to our capacity and availability and is a one time use only, it does not renew each year.
For complex pipeline requirements or additional setup needs, we offer premium pipeline support packages. Get in touch for an individual quote.

How many users are included in each plan?
All our plans have a minimum of 5 active users. The pro plan also imposes an upper limit of 200 active users to make sure your server stays performant. Studio Cloud plan and all the self-hosted option have no upper limits on number of users.
What happens if I exceed my plan's limits?
If you surpass the limits of your chosen plan, we will notify you promptly. You’ll have options to either upgrade to a plan that better suits your needs or adjust your usage to stay within the current plan’s limits. We won’t impose sudden charges without your acknowledgment, and we’re committed to ensuring you have a seamless experience, even as your requirements evolve. Do you offer custom plans for larger enterprises or specific needs?
What is the difference between free community and cloud AYON?
By deploying AYON Community Edition locally, you’ll get the same server and pipeline features included with our subscriptions. There are no limitations on the backend, API, or integrations.
A cloud subscription, however, provides quick and simple setup, full monitoring and backups, plus additional functionality through power features and add-ons. Subscriptions also include extra services as a bonus.

Are addons compatible with community version of AYON?
Most of our commercial addons are built on top of features and technology which are part of AYON Pro subscription, hence they only work in combination with AYON Pro subscription. For example, if you’re only interested in our review tools, you’ll need to get AYON Pro + Review addon.
Can I buy an Addon only for a few users in my AYON instance?
Currently, Add-ons can only be purchased for AYON Pro subscriptions. All users will need the add-on purchased as it upgrades the whole workspace. You cannot purchase an add-on for a selection of users only. AYON Studio includes all add-ons for every user.
