Announcing the Ynput community summit – yn’25

Postponing the Ynput Community Summit
After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Ynput Community Summit.
We understand that this news may come as a disappointment to those who were looking forward to connecting in person, and we share that sentiment. However, as we spoke with our community it became increasingly clear that many of our potential attendees are facing significant challenges. We’ve heard from studios navigating difficult times, with many team members under travel restrictions that have made attending in person a challenge. Given these circumstances, we believe that postponing the event is the right thing to do.
While we wont be gathering in person this time, we remain committed to sharing the insights and updates we have planned for the summit. To ensure that everyone still benefits from what we wanted to showcase, we will be creating a recorded video of the key topics we had planned to present for anyone to watch, no matter your location.
We deeply appreciate the support from our community, and this decision was not made lightly. Our goal remains to bring the Ynput community together in a meaningful way and we’re exploring other options and potential dates.
Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to sharing what we’ve been working on.
The Ynput Team
For the last two years the summit has been a highlight of our year, where we share the upcoming product roadmap and connect with our community. On the back of the success of the last two, we’re returning for a third time to officially make it a tradition for the whole community!
Last year we tweaked the format a little bit, added a day of hands-on workshops and made sure everyone was fed and watered throughout the event, which was received very well. In the spirit of not changing things that work, yn’25 will have a very similar format. There are a few minor differences though.
Day 1: Workshops (April 2)
The first day will go beyond coding, by offering a variety of workshops for all levels. We’ll work directly with all the participants ahead of the event to help define which topics to tackle on the day so the topics are relevant and are catered for a variety of needs. Those with a workshop ticket will get access to a private Discord channel where we’ll organise the whole day together.
Day 2: Conference (April 3)
The second day will welcome a broader audience, offering a unique opportunity to explore AYON’s roadmap, as well as discuss advancements in general pipeline technology. The conference-style event will serve as a platform for detailed discussions on pipelines, featuring insightful presentations and engaging conversations. It will be an ideal setting for networking among enthusiasts and experts who share a common goal to advance pipeline technology for animation and VFX. Attendees can also look forward to relaxing with food and drinks alongside fellow professionals.
